πŸ“Œ Adamas Studios Philanthropic Plan: Training Female Bench Jewelers

🌟 Mission Statement

Adamas Studios is committed to empowering women in traditionally male-dominated trades, such as metalsmithing and bench jewelry craftsmanship.

At launch, Adamas Studios collaborates with highly skilled craftspeople in Surat, India, who bring exceptional artistry to our jewelry. However, as admirers of female metalsmiths and with the long-term vision to bring production in-house, Adamas Studios aims to develop an on-staff bench jewelry team in the U.S. and U.K. As our first step, Gabrielle starts metalsmithing classes on April 7th!

To achieve this, we are launching a fully funded, paid training and mentorship program to:

βœ… Hire and train aspiring female bench jewelers

βœ… Support women’s career growth in fine jewelry craftsmanship

βœ… Develop a rotating, highly skilled team of female jewelers

βœ… Encourage entrepreneurship by allowing jewelers to create their own side businesses

This program is not just about employmentβ€”it’s about creating sustainable, long-term career paths for women in jewelry craftsmanship.

🎯 Program Structure & Goals

Key Goals:

  1. Train and mentor female bench jewelers through a structured, fully funded apprenticeship
  2. Hire experienced bench jewelers in the U.K. and U.S. to serve as mentors and trainers
  3. Offer paid apprenticeships where women can train while working part-time in other areas of Adamas
  4. Ensure long-term employment by requiring apprentices to stay for at least 12 months post-training
  5. Encourage entrepreneurship by allowing bench jewelers to pursue side businesses while working at Adamas
